At Hometown Rigs, we believe that the best adventures start where the pavement ends. Founded by Lonny, a passionate adventurer and car enthusiast, our journey began in 2018 when he imported the first Hero Camper Ranger into the United States. From that moment, his family fell in love with this unique style of camping, finding freedom and connection in the open road and remote landscapes.

Tired of the confines of their traditional 36-foot RV, Lonny and his family embraced the simplicity and versatility of teardrop trailers. They discovered that small, off-road campers offered a completely different experience—one where you could effortlessly reach remote places, set up camp in minutes, and immerse yourself in nature. They ditched the big rig and never looked back.

Lonny’s passion for this lifestyle didn’t stop there. He went on to become a factory sales representative for Hero Camper, sharing his love for these campers with others. In time, he decided to establish Hometown Rigs, his own dealership dedicated to offering the Hero Camper along with a curated selection of other high-quality campers and vehicles. His goal? To help more people experience the joy of getting away from it all, but in comfort and style.

To further enhance the camping experience, Hometown Rigs also offers a range of accessories such as rooftop tents, awnings, and outdoor equipment, ensuring you have everything you need for your next adventure.

From our base in Prescott, AZ, Hometown Rigs now serves a nationwide community of adventurers who want to explore beyond the beaten path.
